Applications

Measuring cellular response to infection using novel reporter markers

Technology Field

Biotechnology

Business Opportunity

Investment for further technology development and conduct relevant trials

Technology Description

Monitoring the cellular response to infection using a fluorescent reporter, single molecule FISH and immunofluorescent labeling, revealed that HIV1 masks DNA damage and orchestrates a complex dysregulation of lincRNAp21. By sequestering HuR in the nucleus following proviral integration, HIV1 enables lincRNAp21 degradation.

Benefits & Advantages

very specific report model to measure response to infection at a cellualar level
