Ofer Barnea is a Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Tel Aviv University and is the Director of the Ela Kodesz Institute for Biomedical Physics and Engineering. He was the chairman of the Department of Biomedical Engineering and the chairman of the Israeli Chapter of the IEEE EMBS. Prof. Barnea has over 30 years of experience in Biomedical Engineering. He consults to the Medical Devices industry and was also the founder of several Medical Devices companies.
His present research area is mostly in cardiovascular dynamics, multi-scale mathematical models, patient-specific hemodynamic models, animal experiments, sensors and measurement systems and signal analysis and interpretation.
