- Secure Inter-device Communication. Each jurisdiction (data owner) uploads sensitive data into a dedicated "black box".
- Devices collectively establish case matches to determine which jurisdictions have a legitimate "need to know" specific pieces of information and only share the necessary information.
- Decentralized System: Eliminates the need for a centralized system for managing private information sharing, enhancing security and reducing breaches.
OVERVIEW
The ATra Appliance Technology provides a method for parties to share private and confidential information over a distributed communications network. The invention operates in real-time and executes on a distributed network, such as the Internet. Information is only shared after a "need to know" has been established between parties. The risk of exposing private information during the need-to-know assessment is low. Once the need-to-know criteria is met, only the agreed-upon information is accessible to the authorized parties. Changes in need-to-know criteria can be detected in real-time, enabling immediate suspension of information access.
BACKGROUND
The ATra configuration concept improves data sharing while maintaining privacy. Traditionally, centralized systems posed risks of breaches and inefficiencies. The AvesTerra concept equips each entity with a secure "black box" for local data upload, ensuring rapid, secure handling within local networks. These devices communicate securely to determine legitimate access based on "need to know," preserving data privacy. The AvesTerra framework enables seamless access to validated information, mitigating centralized system risks and unlocking new analytic possibilities without hard-coded solutions.
