Airable Research Lab has formulated a sprayable bio-based balm for agricultural applications such as cow udders, which are exposed to all weather extremes. The product heals damaged or chapped skin. The sprayable formulation allows for contact-free application. Diseases of the udder are typically spread by contact with hands, towels, vectors (bugs), or milking equipment, so this approach minimizes direct contact and lowers the risk of transmitting infectious diseases that may lead to mastitis.
TECHNOLOGY
Airable uses natural bio-based oils, moisturizers, emollients, and occlusives in its formulation. The resulting product improves on traditional balms, which are greasy and thick, necessitating direct manual contact application. Airable’s formulation is thin and very sheer, so there is no need to rub it directly into the skin; the user simply spray-applies a thin film of the ready-to-use
product and lets it dry. The soy-based balm is a gentler option to soften, seal, moisturize, and protect.
