Details of the Innovation Need

Description of the need:

Novel technologies and/or full formulations that deliver enhanced cleaning in terms of stain protection and/or repellency for soils or pollution protection. Intended for use in the home surfaces including both hard and soft surfaces.

What we are looking for:

  • Product benefit delivers a transformative consumer experience for ease of cleaning vs. traditional/conventional tools and product forms.
  • Benefit can be a maintenance benefit, i.e., depositing of technology ahead of soiling the surface may be required to drastically reduced the stain or pollution absorption or make it easier to remove. Consumer relevant soils (food, body soils, outside dirt, limescale, household dust, indoor/outdoor allergens) and pollutants like organic smog particulates.
  • Actives that can be formulated in aqueous solutions (most preferred), in the presence of anionic, cationic or nonionic surfactants, and pH range from 2 to 11. If oil-based solutions deliver breakthrough we’re are willing to entertain these chemistries as well.
  • Preferred ability to be delivered in concentrated forms to deliver as fully diluted to use options or super-concentrated form that can be diluted for use by consumer
  • No/Low toxicity, without requiring Human Hazard Precautionary statements in label. Safe to stay on the surface and coming into contact with food and/or human ingestion once it has deposited
  • Does not create Cleaning/Shine negatives or other consumer important attributes
  • Granted or filed IP filed and viable Freedom to Practice.

Product Forms can include:

Liquid formulations most preferred that can be incorporated across a range of delivery systems (trigger sprays, aerosols, pourable liquids, wipes)

What we are not interested in:

  • Products/Devices that don’t have a consumable
  • Me-too products with no meaningful advantage vs. what are on market today

Products with no clear path to pass all regulatory use requirements
