Test for oral tolerance to triglycerides in humansThe Instituto de la Grasa of CSIC and University of Seville have developed a fast and simple procedure to evaluate the tolerance to dietary fats (triglycerides) in humans. A novel emulsified composition, easy to take and digest, is supplied to patients, and then the peak of triglycerides in blood and their clearance are determine in a short period of 4 hours. Companies interested in exploiting this technology under a patent license are sought. An offer for patent licensingGuillermo Rodríguez posted this:
Test for rapid quantifying Legionella in waters (1 hour) (Legipid) based on Immuno-Magnetic Separation (IMS)Advanced immunosensing for determination of Legionella in water scenarios. Friendly packaging. Validated and certified technique. Proven technology with available successful cases on both preventative and outbreak situations, supported by scientific and technical papers. Immuno-Magnetic Separation (IMS) requires the sample to be prepared according to the concentration step from ISO 11731:2017. There is an environmental test kit available for the detection of Legionella spp. which attaches microscopic magnets to live bacteria in order to enable detection. The result can be crudely measured by a colour change, or more accurately with the use of a photometer. This method can be advantageous in field laboratories which do not have the facilities to handle the growth and disposal of hazardous micro-organisms.

Test Kit for anionic surfactant in waterThe most remarkable advantages provided by this technology are: o Simplicity and versatility of the kit, which allows carrying out a high throughput screening or in situ analysis with very short analysis times. o Low analysis cost, since dyes, organic solvents that generate residues and instrumental equipment are not used. o High sensitivity of the method, that detect anionic surfactant concentration lower than the maximum residue limit established in most of the environmental legislation.CSIR posted this:
Tethered AerostatThe Aerostat is an unmanned, aerodynamically shaped vehicle that uses mainly buoyant forces to maintain an elevated position, and uses active control for stabilization. The Aerostat is made of a large fabric envelope filled with helium gas. It is fixed to the ground using a tether and is capable of carrying a payload, which is typically a camera system.Langsoft posted this:

The complete elimination of oily wasted using supercritical water oxidationThe technique exploits the extreme oxidation characteristics of supercritical water, (defined as 221 bar and 374 ºC). Under these conditions oils become soluble, and a single homogeneous reaction phase is obtained in which the organic compounds and oxygen are brought into contact. This results in an almost instantaneous break down of organic substances into harmless products, essentially water and CO2 (without the formation of NOx, SOx, CO or other products of incomplete oxidation). The University of Cadiz, a leading center of research for ecological waste treatment, recently conducted a comprehensive study of the hydrothermal treatment of a wide variety of compounds representing the principal effluents generated by industrial machining (classified as dangerous waste under current regulations). The research found the design achieved greater than 99% elimination of the contamination in only a few seconds. On the basis of these results, we consider the system to represent a significant breakthrough in the elimination of dangerous wastes, offering a commercially viable, ecological alternative to simply storing up toxic waste in tanks or ponds.Владимир Шумилин posted this:
The DIP Multiphase Flow Meter (DIP)The DIP Multiphase Flow Meter (DIP) is based on a vibroacoustic technology and has been designed to provide accurate measurement of flowing multiphase fluid. The fluid can contain gas, oil (or gas condensate), water and sand. Applications include oil and gas allocation, well management, production optimization, reservoir management and many more. The vibroacoustic signal is measured by the accelerometer and after the filtering converted to the flow rate, GVF and watercut. That signal also contains fluid density and liquid viscosity information. A differential pressure transmitter is required to calculate accurate flow velocity. The main parameters the DIP can measure are mass and volumetric flow rates of gas, oil and water. It can also measure GVF, watercut, flow velocity, fluid density, liquid viscosity and sand content.

The Journey Framework : A Toolkit for Understanding and Addressing Complex Challenges Through Trauma-Informed Practices Toward Social ChangeThis toolkit developed by Georgetown researchers is designed for educators, students, and other changemakers — anyone taking creative action to address social problems. From undergraduate students to university leaders, the framework can help strengthen analytical skills, research, problem-solving and the development and application of institutional policies. It is translational, interdisciplinary, and focused on action and practice. Entitled “A Journey Beyond Repair: Transforming Cycles of Harm into Healing”, the toolkit introduces a holistic, trauma-informed approach to social change, addressing the complex interplay between trauma, wellbeing, and systemic transformation. Developed by the Being & Transforming Think Tank, a collaborative partnership between Georgetown and The Wellbeing Project, the framework integrates systems theory to map the cyclical nature of trauma and healing across individual, communal, and systemic levels. The model distinguishes between “vicious cycles” of intergenerational trauma and “virtuous cycles” of intergenerational wellbeing, offering a roadmap for transformation. A key innovation is the “Triple Infinity Loop,” which emphasizes the interdependence of personal healing, community support, and systemic alignment. This approach is designed to empower social changemakers—those often impacted by trauma themselves—to move from survival to thriving, and to embed wellbeing into the fabric of their work and communities.

The method for evaluation of endothelial function based on the measurement of changes in skin fluorescence induced by blood flow perturbationFlow Mediated Skin Fluorescence (FMSF) method meets the demand for a simple, fast, inexpensive, non-invasive test for the assessment of endothelial function that is reliable, easy to carry, and thus it is possible to apply for a large population of patients, e.g. for the purpose of screening and monitoring the patient's response to treatment. It allows the assessment of both systole (LFR) and diastole of blood vessels (HFR), and also allows to track the kinetics of changes in response to reactive hyperemia. FMSF method allows the detection of vascular endothelial dysfunction at an early stage of the disorder to identify patients for preventive or therapeutic intervention, or to more accurate and more complex diagnostic tests. FMSF method allows to monitor the healing process, to observe the influence of drugs on the vascular condition, or the influence of exercise training on overall health. FMSF method has already acquired intellectual property protection in the EU (decision of the intention to grant a patent - European patent application EP12727444.7); the patent procedure in other largest markets worldwide is ongoing. The subject of the offer is new nonlinear optical materials for use in optoelectronics, optical devices and components. The offer relates to co-crystals, from which one of polymorphic form is an efficient, phase matchable second harmonic generator. The averaged, relative experimental of second harmonic generation is over 14 times higher than of the commonly used nonlinear material (potassium dihydrogen phosphate). The presented optical material is colorless, suitable for growing large single crystals. The obtained crystals have extreme values of birefringence with reference to other transparent materials. The maximum birefringence for one of the polymorphic form is 0,46. For comparison, calcite, which is commonly used for the production of polarizing prisms, has a birefringence c.a 0.17. The offered materials, thanks to their properties, may be used for the construction of optical devices and components. Moreover, due to the polar structure may exhibit properties such as pyroelectricity, piezoelectricity or ferroelectricityCracow University of Technology posted this:
