Composite Functional Metasurfaces for Multispectral Achromatic OpticsA new technology for producing flat optical components based on optical metasurfaces. These components can potentially serve high resolution imaging, spectrometry, light processing and beam shaping devices. The optical metasurfaces that we develop are composed of closely spaced optical nanoantennas which can be deposited on a wide variety of rigid and flexible surfaces. The engineered nanoantennas allow capturing and directing light at specific colors and polarizations and by that create surfaces with engineered and ‘unnatural’ optical functionality. The active area of the component can be ultrathin allowing in addition to the unique optical properties to reduce the size of the optical components. Composition and method for storing and transporting in vitro cell cultures. V-GUMOur technology is based on the use of compounds (a thermo-reversible gelling biopolymer- cation reactive) and a thickening agent (cation inert) from plant or microbial origin and non-cytotoxic (GRAS polysaccharides). The final hydrogel has a Tgel, onset < 30°C and Tmel, onset < 37°C. The gelation process is physical (non-covalent bond) driven. The hydrogel is stiff and elastic enough to remain attached to the Transwell TM /cell support. The hydrogel could be completely detached from the surface of the Transwell TM insert on molten state.

Developed algorithm allows to effectively solve current problems in the diagnosis of chemical installations related to the assessment of their technical condition and determination of the conditions for further operation in real time. The algorithm is particularly recommended for monitoring devices in which adverse damages occur due to the long-term operation.

One such ICP, Polypyrrole (PPy), when coated on oxidized CNC facilitates linearly and well ordered polymer growth that enhances the PPy/CNC nanocomposite specific capacitance beyond that of graphene and single and multi walled carbon nanotubes. In addition to superior specific capacitance performance, these PPy/CNC nanocomposites are printable and mechanically strong thus lending themselves to a wide range of electronics applications. Further, since PPy has the ability to reduce noble metals (eg. Ag, Pt, Au, etc) without the need for capping or dispersing agents, silver (Ag) nanoparticles were uniformly deposited on PPy/CNC to produce a Ag/PPy/CNC nanocomposite that was shown to impart good antibacterial (both gram positive and negative) activity.

It is a common task and activity in reviewing images to identify and delineate a segment of an image of interest. Such a segment may help to identify tumours, lesions, other regions of interest. It could also help pinpoint the location within the body of these regions of interest. Segmentation or contouring of a medical image is frequently necessary to provide patient diagnosis and prognosis, and to develop the patient care plan. Segmentation of images by radiologists is a laborious and time-consuming task which sometimes represents a significant bottleneck in providing timely patient treatment plans.
