Orange joints the Open Innovation platform InnoGet

MADRID. – 15th March 2010: Orange has reached an agreement with Innoget (www.innoget.com) to joint and use their Open Innovation platform. The agreement enables Orange to transmit the Innoget community its research needs and interests and allows INNOGET’s users to send their innovative ideas, products and technologies to Orange’s Innovation Department. As a result companies, startups and the scientific community would have the opportunity to reach technology transfer agreements with Orange (check at http://innoget.com/iboxin/Orange+R%26amp%3BD+Spain-78.html)

José Valerdi, R&D Manager for Orange Spain maintains: “we are ready to work in close cooperation with Innoget as to reinforce our scheme for the capture of ideas and technology innovations. Today knowledge is shared among many agents and we consider virtual innovation intermediaries, specially Innoget, a very interesting tool to reach these agents and promote the capture of innovation under our Open Innovation policy scheme.

David Ràfols, INNOGET’s CEO says: “We are really thrilled to have Orange in our Open Innovation platform. Our goal is to help Orange identifying creative innovations applicable to their products and technology and on the other hand facilitate to anyone working within the telecommunications a direct channel to the department where Orange’s innovation strategy is outlined”.

Innoget is an Open Innovation marketplace created to improve the relationship between companies and research communities as to cooperate in R&D projects. It is an on-line platform where the scientific community and technology based companies relate to R&D departments by proposing solutions to their technological requirements and present research projects and innovations. The platform allows R&D&I departments to find out solutions for their innovation needs by posting technical challenges (free of charge service). Companies can also request technologies related to their activity by using an Innovation Box-in and offer their innovative technologies through an Innovation Box-out.
