Matias is a Latin American social entrepreneur and thought leader. He is currently the CEO and founder of Cosysense. In 2022, Matias founded Cosysense to provide a sensors service to commercial buildings to reduce operational costs and emissions and for their users' comfort and productivity. Previously, Matias founded Shaping Horizons, a social edtech that upskills young people on how to build impact ventures across Latin America. During his PhD at the Technical University of Darmstadt and his academic position at Cambridge University, he published 50+ articles cited 3,500+ times. Matias was also appointed as UNDP's Accelerator Lab Head of Exploration. During his tenure, he produced 8 UNDP sustainability reports. Matias studied materials engineering at Instituto Sabato, University of San Martin, Argentina. He did a postgraduate study on policy and management at the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences and a PhD on materials for sensors and actuators at the Technical University of Darmstadt. He led 100+ teams, managed $1M+ and published 50+ articles during his PhD at TU Darmstadt and academic positions at Cambridge University and UNDP.
