Jordi Lanuza

I combine education and professional experience in biomedical research and scientific communication. I pursued my PhD at the Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB Barcelona) studying type 2 diabetes in animal models. It was at this stage when I decided change fields by enrolling in an MSc on Scientific Communication and working as a Public Engagement Officer at IRB Barcelona. Since then I have held several positions including Strategic Network Coordinator at the University of Cambridge and Communications Manager at the Institute of Evolutionary Biology. Currently, I hold two positions: Director of Communications at the startup Mind the Byte and External Referee Selector for the UK’s Medical Research Council.
