The overall Regulatory Affairs team is a global organization, interacting across the world to ensure compliance and freedom to operate.

As part of the fast-paced and driven PepsiCo Global Regulatory Affairs team, you will be responsible for ensuring faultless compliance of formulas and labeling for several brands within the Frito-Lay US Business Unit. This team is critical to the innovation/renovation process from ideas all the way through to launch. You will have the opportunity to interact regularly with many other functions including but not limited to product development, marketing, purchasing, and legal.

This position is for a USA Regulatory Affairs Associate Scientist with a primary focus to provide regulatory guidance to the Frito-Lay US brands. This includes authoring ingredient statements, nutrition facts, allergens and 3rd party certification management and substantiation of claims.

The position will require an excellent understanding and application of US Food and Drug Administration labeling regulations to assure the accuracy of ingredient statements, nutrition facts, allergen declarations and claims. As a Regulatory Associate Scientist, you must be able to monitor, interpret and ensure compliance with US regulations today and into the future. Outstanding attention to detail and a passion for proper processes and documentation, along with an innate desire to collaborate with others will be key to success in this role.

Qualifications/Requirements

 

  • BS in Food Science, Nutrition Science, Engineering or equivalent as minimum 
  • 1-2 years regulatory affairs experience preferred
  • Knowledge of FDA food regulations
  • Attention to detail 
  • Ability to prioritize workload, balance multiple tasks and work independently
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Effective collaborator and works well with others
  • Adept computer skills and database management
  • Strong sense of urgency and commitment to meet aggressive timelines
