R&D Ana Tech Senior Technician

This role is part of the R&D Measurement Sciences team centered on smart data driven decisions and insights accomplished through efficient data generation, interpretation, and communication. This role will focus on regulatory monitoring program coordination, sample submission/ registration, and integration/ monitoring of LIMS to support the regulatory testing team. The Senior Technician may also conduct chemical and physical lab analyses to evaluate the composition of snacks, ingredients, food products, raw materials, and/ or quality samples. This position will report to the regulatory testing team lead and is located at our Global Foods R&D facility in Plano, TX.

Responsibilities:

• Coordination of regulatory monitoring program samples (submission/ registration) 
• Serve as main correspondent between site QC and Measurement Sciences regarding regulatory sample submission/ registration
• Support sample preparation, quality control processes, data reviewing/ reporting (LIMS), and other special projects as related to regulatory testing
• Analysis support for core testing including beta glucan, protein, oil, moisture, salt, sugar, and other testing as needed
• Lead the training of a new LIMS system sample submission/ registration process for operations
• Participate in optimization initiatives/ projects per project plan
• Perform LC/ MS data analysis as needed for support 
• Provide team/ stakeholder updates with various communication tools (i.e. presentations)
• Support development, implementation, and maintenance of the Quality Management System in the regulatory testing laboratory

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Food Science, or a related discipline with 1+ years’ experience in a laboratory environment
• Experience with LC/ MS testing (and software) and/ or additional laboratory analytical equipment
• Strong understanding of good lab practices and lab safety procedures
• Knowledge of food chemistry, analytical techniques, instrumentation, and statistics
• Experience with LIMS preferred
• Experience with Quality Management Systems preferred 
• Experience in foods and beverages preferred
• Strong ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines
• Demonstrated critical thinking skills with the ability to learn, organize, share new techniques, and adapt to new ways of working
• Ability to prepare presentations, graphs, and/or charts using appropriate computer software
• Ability to communicate confidently and effectively in a timely manner
