"Innovation Club UW” is a new initiative of the University of Warsaw, which allows entrepreneurs to build direct relationships with scientists and discoverers of the University, as well as with founders of startups. Within the framework of the Networking Club, quarterly meetings will be held in a convenient location in Warsaw. During these meetings you will be able to get acquainted with the best emerging or already existing projects at the University of Warsaw within a chosen field. For business sector is a unique opportunity to build relationships with the most important representatives of science, interested in commercializing their discoveries and solutions. These people are actively looking for contacts with representatives of companies interested in cooperation. Networking Club „Innovation Club UW” is a space where the business world connects with the world of science to the benefit of both. The club is not only an inspiration to conduct joint development activities, but it is also a place where begins the implementation of specific goals - business through the support of scientists and academics - with the support of companies. Next meeting: Friday evening, November 24, 2017 20:00 Presented topics: - „PROmeteo – Personalized Meteorological Protection System” – Dr. Maciej Wrona – Interdisciplinary Centre for Mathematical and Computational Modelling (ICM UW) The innovative process of using high-performance computers to modeling meteorological and climatic phenomena occurring within the globe. As a result of the integration of technology, mathematical modeling, knowledge and experience in the field of climatology and meteorology, the product is produced in the form of high-resolution weather forecasts. This makes it possible to accurately determine meteorological parameters (more than 300 parameters of different types) for selected locations and heights, and to build products and services that meet the needs of selected target groups and industries. - „The Genius of Negotiations” – Dr. Łukasz Jochemczyk – Department of Psychology UW A breakthrough way negotiations involving the use of scientific solutions. The translation of the negotiation process into formal semantic network languages - Dynamic Negotiation Network (DSN) and the use of appropriate algorithms in order to indicate the key elements affecting the outcome of the negotiations. DSN network parameters and analysis of its properties will provide the negotiator with information on the suggested way to continue mediation, gain better results and satisfaction from the negotiation process, and will indicate negotiating techniques that will maximize the outcome of the negotiations.
