Event description
This week we’ll show the world premiere of 12 Game-Changing Stadiums in History, a short-form video presented by the Smithsonian’s Lemelson Center for the Study of Invention and Innovation and SportTechie. The film, which challenges viewers to ask what were the innovations that stadiums got right and which ones missed their mark, is part of the new Game Changers exhibit that is scheduled to open at the National Museum of American History in the fall of 2022. Our expert panel of historians, architects and sports business professionals will discuss why these 12 stadiums were selected for their innovations, and we’ll explore the future of stadium design and construction, especially as it pertains to a post COVID-19 world. Catch a sneak peek of the film here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8sehxS8IRM4 Registration is free. All registrants will receive a link to watch the recording once the session concludes.
