Professor Michael E. Porter is a leading authority on competitive strategy and the competitiveness and economic development of nations, states, and regions, and he is the author of 18 books and more than 100 articles on the subject. His work is recognized globally by many governments, corporations and academics, and his ideas are taught in most business schools across the world.
Porter will address what drives innovation and competitiveness in a region. He will share his research into the role of regional clusters in job creation, innovation, and entrepreneurship and provide tools to help practitioners and policymakers create successful regional strategies. He will also assess the competitiveness of the Philadelphia region and offer implications for the future.
